Membership Rates are Changing in 2018

Dear YMCA Members:

This letter announces the Membership Dues for 2018.  The amounts represent a balance between keeping annual adjustments as low as possible and facing the realities of the increased cost of operations every year.  This year marks the third of five years of $.70/hour increases to the minimum wage in NYS. The hourly increase benefits over half of our Y staff.  Not all membership categories have changed and those that have bring us into closer alignment with neighboring YMCA pricing and more closely reflect the cost of operations for the different areas of our facility.

Membership at the Y is a great value, and we strive to offer an enjoyable experience to all of our members. This year we have completed the first phase of our accessibility projects, which included a new pool lift, automatic door openers, family changing room redesign, and the new entrance ramp.  The next phase will make the whole building interior accessible to all.  If you have ideas and suggestions for how we can make Y membership a better value for you and other members, please let us know.  You can talk with the Member Service staff or the Y director, Dave Hamilton, or there are member comment cards at our Member Service desk if you would rather write a note.

Membership Dues changes (where applicable) will change starting January 1, 2018. You may want to consider renewing your annual dues between now and then to take advantage of current pricing.  Even if your renewal date is later in the year, you can extend your membership for a year from the renewal date at current rates by paying membership dues before January 1st.  Below is a table with the new rates.

Sincerely,
