Staying Safe Together

The health and safety of our members and staff is of upmost importance to us. To ensure that we are able to provide a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone, we ask that members follow the following rules.

Waiting to Enter

Members should wait outside if there is someone else already checking in to maintain social distancing guidelines.

Health Screening Upon Check-in

All members will be required to undergo a health screening on their way into the building, a process which includes a temperature check and a health survey.

Proper Face Covering

Unvaccinated members (members who have have not yet been fully vaccinated for at least two weeks) will be required to wear an acceptable mask (no bandannas, buffs, gaiters, or masks with ventilation valves, per state order) the entire time they are in the building, including while working out and while in the locker rooms. The only exception is for swimmers while they are in the water or while using the showers.

Maintain Distance

All members will need to maintain 6′ of distance between themselves and any one else in the building, and wash (or sanitize) their hands on a regular basis.

Clean Equipment

Members will be responsible for cleaning any equipment they use both before and after their workout. The Cortland YMCA will have cleaning supplies available for member use.

Members Only

Only Cortland County Family YMCA members will have access to our facility. We are not offering day passes, or accepting Nationwide Memberships at this time.

Facility Updates

Per NYS regulations, hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms are all closed at this time. We cannot provide towel service, so please remember to bring your own.

The Childwatch space, conference room, and lobby seating area are closed until further notice. Water fountains are not available, but the water bottle filling station on the main floor (across from the pool) is.
